When we were approached by Della to support her in her quest to raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and their building of a new innovative cancer support and information centre  for people in Sussex - it was hard to be anything but involved in helping support the Splash of Green Ball.   We were bowled over by the level of enthusiasm and commitment Della had for this worthy cause.

We met with Della and her daughter Bobbie at the Grand Hotel to discuss how we could help.

We agreed to supply the decorations for the event and help on the night as guest arrive. Our experience managing events was put to good use greeting and registering guests as they arrived for the champagne reception.

The theme was a Splash of Green and the Empress Suite at the Grand Hotel Brighton was tramsformed with candelabras, a large 9 foot balloon structure of the Macmillan green ribbon logo, balloon arches and spirals and jumbo gold stars lining the drinks reception area as guest arrrived.  All the guests were dressed in a 'splash of green' with some fantastic outfits - especially from the ladies.  As well as the superb array of auction and tombola prizes, roses were sold and there was also a band who played a great variety of live music well into the early hours - its not often you attend an event like this and the dance floor is packed for the whole evening.

The event was a fantastic success - raising £20,00 for the Sussex Appeal.
